Volunteering at the NDA

We could not deliver our services without the hard work and dedication of our Volunteers. They are the lifeblood of the NDA.

Our volunteers are not paid. Not because they are worthless but because they are priceless

We have a small number of paid staff who manage and administer all our services and activities but the NDA relies on volunteers for its operation. Many of our volunteers are hearing aid users themselves so they are in an excellent position to help hearing aid users obtain the most benefit from their aids and provide them with emotional and practical support. At NDA the Volunteers have a number of roles:

  • Deliver the Hearing Support Service
  • Act as a Befriender
  • Help in our Assistive Listening Technology Clinic
  • Support our fundraising events
  • Help in the office

It is our belief that everyone has untapped skills and qualities – please let us know about yours?

We recognise that staff and volunteers are a fundamental resource to the organisation so we offer high quality, relevant training for our staff and volunteers. We also recognise the value of diversity within the staff and volunteers who delver our services and the community we serve.

Whatever your background and skills, if you think you would enjoy helping by becoming a Volunteer and would like to find out more, please contact us by e-mailing nda@norfolkdeaf.org.uk or calling us on 01603 40440, or by downloading and returning the application below.
